This product is a guarding system for hydraulic press brakes that offers an effective degree of combined operator safety and machine productivity, worldwide.
With the introduction of new machine safety legislation, the use of approved safety systems has often caused severe productivity losses, because operators had to keep their hands too far away from the workpiece when running the machine at high speed, or had to resort to using workpiece supports.
The LZS-003 now allows the operator to stay close to the workpiece in almost the same fashion as before, while now providing comprehensive safety to the operator.
There is no other press brake safety system that allows operators so much freedom of handling the workpiece. even when the tools close at high speed. Furthermore, there is no other press brake safety system that not only provides this protection but also detects press brake failures by real-time monitoring of the bending process itself.

How It Works
The operator may keep their hands freely near the workpiece with the usual degree of care while the tools close at high speed: hands and fingers are protected by a continuous band of red laser light, sensing the zone below the punch. If an obstruction is detected, the movement of the tool is stopped, and then retracted for a small distance. The punch cannot make contact with an obstruction.
The Lazer Safe tray mode allows the punch to proceed in high speed into a box or tray type workpiece, the sides of which are already bent up. The laser protection is made up of three sections; the front and/or rear sections of the laser band can be obstructed without loss of speed or safety.
Lazer Safe monitors the stopping distance of the
moving tool, every time the moving tool stops. The first time it exceeds the stopping distance limit, an emergency stop is effected and the machine is shut down.
Lazer Safe surveys the effect of failures of hydraulic valves, failures of electrical components, and failures in the machine controller software, in relation to those parts of the machine that pose the actual risk to the operator - the tools closing.
